Beatriz Gómez Fariñas

Senior Legal Procurement Consultant

Beatriz Gómez Fariñas (PhD) is an expert in EU Public Procurement & Innovation, currently working as Senior Legal Procurement Consultant at Corvers Procurement Services. Previously she was a lecturer at the University of Vigo (Spain) and was involved as a researcher in different European institutions (including Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, German Research Institute for Public Administration, University of Nottingham, and Nottingham Trent University).

Beatriz has extensive experience in the field of public procurement law,  with a particular focus on innovation procurement. Her work combines academic research with practical legal consultancy, and she has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, contributed to edited books, and presented at international conferences and high-level policy events.

Since joining CORVERS in August 2021, Beatriz has supported the design and implementation of several innovation procurement projects, including Pre-Commercial Procurement (PCP) and Public Procurement of Innovative Solutions (PPI) initiatives. She provides strategic legal advice to public authorities across Europe on the preparation and execution of innovation procurement procedures. In addition, she delivers specialised training programmes for public buyers, policymakers, and private sector organisations on public procurement and innovation-related topics.
