ASSORUP took part today in the Global Procurement Conference, held in the prestigious setting of Villa Mondragone in Frascati. This international event, now in its eleventh year, is organised by the University of Tor Vergata under the leadership of Professor Gustavo Piga.
A symbolic venue for global dialogue on procurement, which brought together delegations from 38 countries, confirming the conference’s ability to attract expertise, experience and strategic insights from around the world. ASSORUP’s participation forms part of an ongoing effort to strengthen international relations and explore the most pressing issues: from the evolution of AI in procurement to European public procurement reform, right through to the new dynamics of collaboration between institutions, academia and industry professionals.
Skills, relationships and new synergies
Thanks to the usual organisational expertise of Prof. Piga – who had previously chaired the first ASSORUP national congress – the conference provided a fertile ground for discussion and the emergence of new synergies, confirming the value of the international community of procurers.

Looking ahead to the EUPPM Conference in Naples
This spirit is already looking ahead to the EUPPM Conference in Naples, scheduled for 15–17 October, where the Italian community of RUPs will join the European and international delegations that are confirming their attendance.
The aim is to replicate and expand on the atmosphere of global exchange experienced today at Villa Mondragone, by creating a new forum for dialogue, training and cooperation that will make Italy a key player in the field of public procurement.
