ASSORUP announces the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding with the Department of Law of the University of Naples Federico II, which becomes the official venue of the first European Conference of Public Procurement Managers, scheduled for 15–17 October 2026. This marks a historic step for Italy and for the European community of public procurement professionals (EUPPM Network), who will gather for the first time in a conference dedicated to skills, governance, and innovation in procurement.
The Memorandum establishes a structured collaboration on activities of common interest in public procurement, with particular focus on research, training, and the development of empirical and comparative analyses. The parties commit to promoting joint initiatives on key topics such as the role of the Project Manager (Responsabile Unico del Progetto), the evolution of European directives, the efficiency of procedures, and the quality of public spending. Federico II will provide facilities, scientific expertise, and organizational support, contributing to the creation of a high-profile international event.

Special thanks also go to Prof. Alfonso Maria Cecere, who will coordinate the scientific programme of the Conference, together with Renata Spagnuolo Vigorita and Silvia Tuccillo, ensuring a rigorous methodological framework fully aligned with the European challenges in public procurement.
The European Conference of Public Procurement Managers will bring together European institutions, universities, public administrations, businesses, and economic operators for three days of workshops, plenary sessions, and technical roundtables dedicated to professionalisation, digitalisation, sustainability, and strategic procurement.
