On 6 May at the European Parliament, the first European Report on the Professionalisation of Public Procurement across 32 European States will be presented, an initiative promoted by the emerging EUPPM Network

An unprecedented collective achievement for the community of public procurement managers

ASSORUP proudly announces a milestone that marks a historic step for the entire European public procurement community. On 6 May 2026, at the European Parliament in Brussels, the first European Report on Professionalisation in Public Procurement will be presented — a collective work involving academics, professionals, public administrations, associations, and practitioners from across Europe.

This is a groundbreaking initiative, born from the shared commitment of hundreds of contributors and made possible thanks to the support of MEP Georgia Tremacere of the Socialists and Democrats Group, who promoted the event within the European institutions, with the support of members of the IMCO Committee.

The Report represents the first updated and comparative overview of professionalisation indicators across 32 countries, offering a solid foundation for the European debate on procurement quality, administrative capacity, and the strategic role of public procurement managers.

After the presentation, a networking aperitif will offer an opportunity to meet the key contributors to the project and strengthen collaboration among institutions, academia, and professionals.

Participation is subject to mandatory registration, with limited seating. If you are unable to attend, please notify us immediately so that we may offer your place to participants on the waiting list.

The availability of a live stream will be announced through ASSORUP’s official channels, particularly on LinkedIn and on the website www.euppm.net.

This event is not just the presentation of a document: it is proof that a united European community, competent and motivated, can build concrete tools to improve the quality of public spending and strengthen citizens’ trust.

The EUPPM project’s promoting group thanks all those who contributed to this extraordinary achievement.
